Susan's Dear Jane, in progress
Thanks to Dear Jane: the Two Hundred Twenty-five Patterns from the 1863 Jane A. Stickle Quilt by Brenda Manges Papadakis,  this beautiful quilt has become a household name to many quilt lovers around the world.

When the book was first published, I was hooked.  I purchased a copy and soon began drafting the little blocks in Electric Quilt.  Several years ago, Electric Quilt produced Stand-Alone Designer Software, "Dear Jane", where the blocks are already drafted for you!

The quilt below is my version of "The Quilt".  Some of the blocks are not exactly as the ones Brenda Papadakis drafted, as I have in some cases added seams to make paper foundation piecing easier for me to sew.

I hope you also fall in love with "Jane" and consider making your own version of this quilt.

The following picture shows my Jane quilt in progress, in EQ6.  As I complete a block, I add it to the ongoing quilt, save this in the Sketch Book, and then delete the previous one that I had saved. That way, I can look at a glance and see how many more I need to do to complete my quilt. I also keep a complete quilt in the Sketch Book, and all the blocks, colored and saved individually.
